For a beach escapade that feels just like a summer dream, St. Barts is the place to go. With its mostly tropical weather and an average temperature of around 70º Fahrenheit throughout the year, days when the sun isn’t shining atop your head are extremely rare, and blue, cloudless skies abound, and with about a 14-mile radius from top to bottom, every shore, every hill, and every social hotspot on our petite island is always within reach.

Car rental is probably the best way to move around, followed closely by local taxi services, as the road can be a bit sinuous and winding, depending on where you are going. While it is true that in Gustavia, the capital town of the island, you can easily walk around, when visiting distant beaches, like Colombier, having your own wheels is certainly a must.

If you and your friends love shopping around, St. Barts will feel like the promised land, as it is a tax-free destination, perfect for a luxury shopping spree focused on big names such as Hermès, Dolce & Gabbana, and more. The** official currency of the island is the Euro**, but US Dollars are also widely accepted.

Undoubtedly, the best way to bond with your friends over sports and fun.

Later on, in May, the Caribbean Film Festival will take place from the 3rd to the 6th, presenting a compilation of films and audiovisual media tackling Caribbean culture, and to take your summer to the next level, on July 14, celebrate Bastille Day surrounded by French culture.
