One of the greatest treasures of St Barth is Saline Beach, one of the preferred beaches of those who know the island, but paradoxically, it is not one of the most crowded. This is because its access, without being as challenging as Colombier Beach, requires a short hike and that you bring your own supplies.

Saline Beach is located south of St. Barth, in a zone free of buildings, so you will find it practically untouched. To get there, you have to drive a bit until you reach a parking lot, where your car will be safe for as long as you wish to extend your visit to Saline. Once you have left your car, just follow the traced path until you reach the beach. It will be a short and easy walk, it will take you about 5 to 10 minutes to reach this beach. Being one of the longest beaches in St Barth, Saline Beach will give you plenty of room to choose your spot.
Saline Beach has a truly enchanting landscape. White sand and crystal clear, calm waters, ideal for a nice day of swimming. You can see how the mountains embrace the sand and the sea to form a small bay, where from time to time some yachts enter to visit the beach. Shades are not plentiful on this beautiful beach, so don't forget to bring one to avoid sunburn.
In Saline Beach at St Barts, there are no restaurants or hotels on the beach. Since there are no options on the beach to buy drinks or food, we recommend you pack water and a snack so that nothing gets in the way of your mission to have an amazing day at Saline Beach.
Saline Beach until recently was one of the natural sources of salt for the island, hence its name. If you are lucky, you can still find salt formations on the seashore, something you can only find on this side of the island.
Despite the fact that there are no buildings on the beach, there are restaurants and lodging options around the Saline area. The area doesn't have the crowds of other neighborhoods, so you'll be able to relax peacefully, but you'll be very close to the hotspots of St Barth.
